The two rep for Uptown.

Harlem has forever mad a mark on the rap scene, but I didn’t pay attention until Dipset. Being from the south and growing up a huge fan of everything west coast, the east coast just didn’t grab me. That all changed with the work of Cam’ron, Juelz Santana and Jim Jones.

Now you may be asking what about Bad Boy? Like I said I grew up a west coast fan so Bad Boy was the enemy. But I grew older and matured, became a fan of JAY Z and his Roc-A-Fella crew and in comes Dipset. Of course Cam and Juelz held down the majority of the bars, but it was something about Jim Jones and his character that drew me in.

Fast forward to the work of the ASAP crew and the Fergenstein himself and the Harlem resurgence is back. With both Jim Jones and ASAP Ferg teaming up on a new single appropriately titled “Harlem”, we get to see the work that both put in to represent where they are from. Give the single a spin below.
