Meet this week’s Sunday Spotlight Jean Michaels.

We first heard this week’s Sunday Spotlight artist back in April of this year at The Basic ATL Showcase here in Atlanta. His performance stood out way beyond the rest of the artist that night and that was mainly because he gave us authentic music. Nothing was “cookie cutter” and “yo I’m in Atlanta so let me turn up” type music. From that point on we were hooked and new something was special about this guy. Lazies meet Jean Michaels.

As a native of Jersey, its easy to see what this guy takes his bars so seriously. Growing up in the home that Redman, Treach, Lauryn Hill, Joe Budden and a host of others built, you have to pay attention to the words that give out. Now a resident of Atlanta, Jean Michaels gives us lyricism, a dope live show and a spirit of humbleness that is not characteristic in this game anymore.

After releasing his An Unfamiliar Place: Chapter 1 The EP earlier this year and a new project on the way, Michaels has solidified his way in this game and we thought it was time to shine a little light on his situation.
