Yep you read that right. Despite all of the back and forth talk of when the crew would make an album a reality, the Wu-Tang Clan does indeed have an album in the works and will release it soon. There is a catch though, only one person will be able to purchase it.
According to Forbes, the Wu will take their album, entitled Once Upon A Time In Shaolin on the road to display in various museums, galleries and festivals across the globe, where you will be able to hear the 128 minute album’s 31 songs and it will cost you likely in the $30-$50 range to do so. The picture you see above is the case that the album will be displayed in and was handcrafted and designed by British-Moroccan artist Tarik “Cilvaringz” Azzougarh. Once the album finishes its “tour”, Wu-Tang will make it available for purchase for a price “in the millions.” Talking about new rules. I think this just trumped JAY Z’s Samsung deal. I guess people thought I was crazy when I said the death of iTunes was near.
