K.L.U.B. Monsta Pens Inspirational Verse On “Junie + Raps”

/

Birmingham comes through once again.

Back in December Kel. Ricks of K.L.U.B. Monsta made song out of Oddisee’s instrumental “Skipping Rocks”. Today another K.L.U.B. Monsta member, Josuha, dropped “Junie+Raps”. Joshua explains his verse and inspiration here:

A Seat at the Table by Solange Knowles inspired me so much this past year, one of the albums that I never took out of my rotation. This particular record “Junie”, just reminded me of growing up listening to gospel and soul music on Saturday mornings. So I decided to sit down and write to it. I wanted to write like it was going to be heard by Solange. Not really knowing what direction I wanted to go in. The first words that came to me was ‘Black woman I love ya I just want to uplift ya’ very simple but honest words. Take a listen and if you enjoy share with others. Many thanks to Solange for inspiring.
