Meet the newest signee to Pharrell’s i am OTHER imprint.
A3C came to a close a couple of days ago in Atlanta and with literally hundreds of artist with CDs in hand, only a couple actually caught my attention. One of them was Boston’s own BIA. Now maybe it was the cameras following her around or her looking like one of my industry crushes (Ms. Paula Patton) at first glance that caught me. One thing for certain — when she played a couple of people in a crowd a small snippet of her new video — she believes she’s a star already. Now add that to getting the nod of approval from Pharrell and his i am OTHER imprint and that makes for some interesting story.
Today the world gets a chance to see what I saw with the release of BIA’s “Bobby Brown” video. The single is the first leak off her forthcoming mixtape Knock on Wood and features classic clips of Bobby Brown “Every Little Step” video. Watch up top.
