Meet this week’s Sunday Spotlight J-Coop.

By now you should recognize the name of this week’s Sunday Spotlight artist. Coming from the Southside of Atlanta, the Winning Team member has been making quite a bit of noise for himself lately with the release of his Good Day ATLanta LP. Lazies meet J-Coop.

We’ve been a fan of Coop way before this site’s existence. Early in 2012 he released his debut LP PimpTightPlaya. From that moment own, he was considered hip-hop gold in my book. After taking a brief hiatus from rap to head to the military, J-Coop returned on the seen in 2014 with The Winning Team’s The Losers Win Again album. From there he turned the focus to the lovely Ms. Erykah Badu as him and the camp released a 7-track dedicated to the singer with #GoodMorningMsBadu EP.

Now with two group projects in the can, it was time for Coop to put the focus back on him and the city that he loved. In comes Good Day ATLanta. There is so much to say about this album, but I will keep it brief by saying it will restore the feeling of the city’s hip-hop scene.

J-Coop is definitely one of those emerging emcees that its only a matter of time before the world knows his name. Until that time comes, get to know him and his music below.
