Chapter 2
Ever since coming on our radar around this time last year with the release of What Tomorrow May Hold, we’ve been an avid supporter of everything Michael Aristotle. Today the East Chain Records own releases the follow up to the classic project with Thanks For Nothing.
We sat down with the homie a couple of days ago to talk the project on The Good Hennec Show, alongside Wili Hendrixs and after receiving an autographed copy, I’ve been living with this project. Coming in at 13 tracks, Thanks For Nothing picks up right where he left off on What Tomorrow May Hold, even teasing us in the intro track “No Thanks”. Records like “Peach” and “Blue” shows a vulnerable side of Michael Aristotle as he leaves nothing to the imagination. My hands down favorite thus far though has to be “The Day I Met Childish Gambino”. This record is more than honest as Mikey lets us know just how huge of a Bino fan he is as he recounts meeting him after sneaking into his show at SXSW with a fake ID.
