First off the name She Real is super dope to me for some reason. Second, with a single like “Living Single” you almost have to press play to see what this is about. Let’s just say I’m glad I did. As a recent winner of The Bar Exam, She Real flows effortlessly over Blk The Beat Man production and gives us a bit of nostalgia at the same time.

She explains the single as followed:

I tried my best to create a record that not only paid homage to those before me, but also provided balance to the current examples being set by women in Hip Hop.
“Living Single” was a show that gave us four women that could be smart, beautiful, and career driven with just the right amount of class. And they always had each others’ backs!!!
The show inspired me then and it inspires me now. So with this record I hope to build upon a foundation that has already been laid and use it to prove that REAL HIP HOP STILL EXISTS!!
