Str8OutDaDen Turns Two!!!!

2 birthday

Guess its true what they say, time flies when you’re having fun. Today we celebrate two years in this game of hip-hop media. Throughout this short period of time, we have continued you bring you dope music, videos, interviews and podcast. Its been rough, but well worth it. We grow together everyday and we would like to extend a simple thank you from myself and the rest of the Str8OutDaDen staff. You guys (and girls) make this site what it is and honestly without you, we would be a bunch of people typing our thoughts and ideas down to no avail.

We hope that you continue to rock with us and trust me when I say we would love to hear from you more often. So don’t be afraid to chime in every now and then on a post and let us know how you really feel. We encourage it.

Of course we know it wouldn’t be a true birthday with a gift right? So here’s the deal. Since we are turning two, how about a 2 day sale over at the Str8OutDaDen Online Shop. So head over here and take a look around. Pick up a shirt, crewneck or hoodie. Go wild! As an added bonus we will give away a $25 gift card! All you have to do is buy some merch, then take a pic of your receipt and post it with the hashtag #SODDTurnsTwo. We will randomly selected a winner on Friday.

Thanks again for all the love and support and if you haven’t already follow us on Twitter | Facebook | Instagram

Darko The Super: Oh No! Its Darko (Album Review)

Oh No Its Darko

A true experience indeed, Darko returns with another album “Oh No, Its Darko” inviting us on an emotional roller coster. He manifests humor, satire, imagery, and passion throughout this self produced project with guest appearances from Dudley Perkins, Homeboy Sandman, and Pyramid Vritra. The experience is symbolic to when Brian was on his mushroom trip to keep his mind busy during a terrible storm. Weird comparison I know, but if you play this project and watch that episode of Family Guy with the audio muted it may make more sense.
