PHZ-Sicks: The Moment (Album)
We have showed PHZ-Sicks a bit of love lately on Da Den and for good reason. The Woodbridge, Virginia native dropped his album, The Moment and with 15 original joints, it makes for good hip-hop. Alison Carney, Lyriciss, Scolla, Seanny Greggs and TFOX make guest appearances on the LP, while Best Kept Secret, Epik The…

Happy Birthday Jay-Z!!!!
It’s December 4th and Jay-Z turns 44!!! In all honesty its hard to forget just how old Hov really is. Lets face it, dude continues to move the culture forward and whenever we think he is getting “old”, he reinvents himself. With arguably three (I say four…don’t sleep on American Gangster) classics under his belt,…

Vic Mensa: She Loves The Mirror
First off I will admit I jumped on the Vic Mensa train late, but after hearing Innanetape; what do you expect for me to do? This new joint hits right under two minutes and is a bit different from what I was expecting, but still satisfies the appetite. “She Loves The Mirror” is the second…

Childish Gambino: Because the Internet (Album Stream)
Childish Gambino’s Because The Internet hits the net next week and thanks to iTunes we get a chance to stream the album in its entirety. I’m still zoned out from his cut with Chance the Rapper, “The Worst Guys“, not to mention “Sweatpants” was riding too. STREAM:Â Childish Gambino: Because the InternetÂ

Aruzo x Slime: Remixed It 2 (EP)
I’ve always been a fan of the remix, especially one that is done to perfection. Even though I’m a couple of months behind, good music is still good music right? Back in September Aruzo and DJ Slime linked to do a remix EP that featured some classic joints from Little Brother, Erykah Badu, Slum Village,…

If you didn’t have respect for Sgt. Over before this record, I’m almost certain your perspective will change after pressing play. It was time for someone to speak on the jobs of the average person in a positive light. Let’s be honest…everyone can’t be a rapper or an entertainer. Salute to the homie Sgt. and…

Chames: Crown Me (Prod. by Relta & Prince Al)
Chames first release from a new, currently untitled mixtape. Look for the tape to hit the net around the second or third quarter of 2014. The Harrisburg, PA emcee dropped his latest tape, The Fountain Of Youth back in September. And if this project sounds anything like the previous work then we are in for…

Pusha T Speaks On Clipse Reunion, Having Album Of The Year & More w/ Zane Lowe
Even though Pusha push the issue (pun intended) of having the rap album of the year; I’m starting to think it will be hard to say otherwise. Let’s face it, not too many rap albums that dropped this year focus solely on the music and could care less about a “radio record”. King Push made…

Raekwon: Lions Paw Freestyle
The Chef returns with another classic freestyle over Gang Starr’s Mass Appeal instrumental. Relax and Listen after the jump.

Farhot: Kabul Fire Vol.1 (Album)
It’s one thing to make good music; but to make that music timeless is close to impossible during today’s hip-hop scene. Even though its early, I will go out on a limb and say that producer Farhot achieved that feat with his Kabul Fire Vol.1 album. The 12 cut album features verses from Talib Kweli,…

Echelon: Sooth LP
Around this time last year we ran into this producer by the name of Echelon; as he dropped a record in response to one of his Twitter followers. His sound was unique then and even more progressive now. His latest project entitled Sooth LP, embodies a slowed down and soulful presentation of hip-hop. Relax and Listen…
