After watching this guy grace the stage this past weekend for Outkast #ATLast show, we are more than happy to see this surprise from Childish Gambino. The first half of his STN MTN / Kauai mixtape dropped today. The 11 track DJ Drama hosted mixtape features classic freestyles and a few originals that lead into the Kauai portion of the project (which will be an EP sold on iTunes). Check out what Gambino had to say to break the whole project down:
It’s a Gangsta Grillz mixtape that goes into an EP. The Gangsta Grillz mixtape is a dream, and the dream ends when I wake up in Kauai. And they go into each other; it’s one complete project. You can download the mixtape and you can go buy the EP. The money from the EP goes to help keeping Kauai clean.
Guess it safe to say we will get Kauai shortly on iTunes, but then again who knows…we did just get this one as a surprise. In the meantime enjoy the tape below.
