Taking mental health seriously in the black community has become a hot topic as of late and Spooks McGhie has taken a chance to put his own struggles with depression out in the open.

After the release of Summer and Fall themed EPs, he fell into a deep depression due to a series of unfortunate events caused him to be incapacitated for 3 months.

His new single “Call A Professional” plainly describes his internal conflict. Who knows? Maybe this is part of a bigger project. Only time will tell.
