Meet this week’s Sunday Spotlight Goody.
Even though I’m still officially on vacation until tomorrow, I couldn’t let a week go by without doing our weekly feature Sunday Spotlight. For those of you who are completely new to Da Den, allow me to explain the significance of Sunday Spotlight.
Everyday we are bombarded with emails from artist who all have the same goal in mind, to get their music heard. Now while a good number of them are genuinely hungry rappers with a bunch of yes men in their corners (if you’re reading in between the lines, I’m calling you subpar), there are emcees who fit the mold of being talented enough to be called a Sunday Spotlight. This week that artist happens to be from the Southside of Chicago. Lazies meet Goody.
He first made his way on Da Den back in 2013 with his Good Gone Bad visual. From there he released several singles over the next couple of years, which eventually led to him dropping his debut project 21 (To Anyone).
Already a fan of everything this guy does, it wasn’t until I heard his “return to music” single on “Back to Business” that I realized we haven’t given this guy his proper just due. With that being said we took the liberty of gathering all of his available catalog for your listening pleasure.
