More everything.

Around this time last year a friend of mine, Ace Harris sent me a link to a record and asked for my opinion. At the time I had no clue who Gilles was, but I was intrigued by his ability to grab OG Maco and King Los on a record. There were so many questions that went through my head. First off why do you have OG Maco and King Los on a record together (this was before I knew OG Maco had bars) and secondly, how did he make it happen?

A further look into Gilles story and we learned that he’s a lawyer by day and a dope emcee by night or day depending on his schedule. That story line made for a great conversation that was documented on an episode of The Str8OutDaDen Podcast.

We learned quite a few things that day and most importantly we learned that he was on the tipping point of releasing his long awaited album A.L.O.T.. We also got a chance to hear a few joints and fully understood the importance of getting this album out pronto.

Well the time is now.

Gilles tells Da Den by email that A.L.O.T. there is “not a whole whole lot more I can say here, y’all…Just listen. It’s all there. My frustrations, my fears, my love, my arrogance, my dreams, MY LIFE. Maybe yours too.”

The 12 track LP features notable names like CyHi The Prynce, Project Pat, OG Maco and King Los, A.L.O.T. is an album that will need your full attention to detail. Check out the full track list and stream below.
