The New Orleans emcee takes us on a dark journey.

First off we have to send a public apology to the homie Alfred Banks. Why we are just now getting to his album is crazy and to be honest, there is no explanation for why we’re so late on this one. So for that we’re sorry bro. Now that we took care of that, lets get to the New Orleans wordsmith’s latest LP, The Beautiful.

Ironically the album is not what you would think is “beautiful”. Full of dark undertones, Alfred Banks conceptualize suffering from Schizophrenia himself. The album starts at his brother’s funeral Bank’s brother Orlandas who passed away after his battle from the mental disorder. Produced entirely by long-time collaborator CZA, the 12 track album features MegaRan and Mickey Factz.

After having to leave his brother’s funeral early because of a performance, Alfred Banks start to Endure the same Schizophrenic issues that plagued & ultimately took the life of his brother Orlandas Banks during an incredible rollercoaster of a car ride.
