This is the Joint EP we received at the top of the year from two of Atlanta’s uncrowned underground heavyweights, there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding them since 2011-2012 in many more ways than one. Key! who is co-creator of the collective formally known as Two-9, has been on a solo run for a couple years now but with this EP he is gearing up for the release of him and his collective’s album (FRVR) which should be releasing early next month.

Reese on the other hand has big plans for 2017 as well. These two artist can be credited for creating a sound and style of music that has since been claimed by others as their own. I take the EP to be an early reminder that in 2017 these guys are coming to take back what is theirs.

You can hear the guys coasting over familiar sounds from big names you may have heard of such as Sladedamonsta and Kswisha and even a guest verse from Offset (of the Migos) but they brought a couple more guys along for the ride who go by the name of Franchise, Kcdabeatmonster, and Bobby Kritical. I’ve listened to the Ep multiple times since its release yesterday, and I must say 2017 is looking very promising from a music aspect and for these two amazingly talented artist as well.
