Q: Where are you from?

A: Born in Detroit residing in Atlanta by way of Tokyo

Q: Growing up who inspired you to make music?

A: Jazz, funk, soul and blues were 24/7 in the house coming up. They are the building blocks for my sound for sure.

Q: We were interested to find out you lived in Tokyo for two years. How did that experience change your sound or influence the approach you take to your production?

A:It changed everything. The culture, the people the vibe. Japan let me know it’s cool to be weird and to do my own thing. As far as production approach nothing changed. What changed is I learned that you can be you 100% and that’s cool. There is no such thing as the right way.
