Meet this week’s Sunday Spotlight Damingo Brown.
How often have you heard us say that this game of hip-hop is more than just rapping your butt off. Truth is it hasn’t been about bars for a while. Now I’m not saying we don’t have some true lyricist in the game right now, but in a world where album sells barely exist, you have to be able to do more than rap. In comes this week’s Sunday Spotlight artist. Lazies meet Damingo Brown.
The Atlanta native got his start in fashion with his FLY+PAC Clothing company. What was started from his love of classic graphic tee’s, blossom into a full-fledged street wear brand.
Like most creatives, Damingo wanted more all of which led him to hop behind the mic. Our first encounter with him was at BNG Mag’s The Good-Ass Intro. At the time I didn’t know he was an emcee, but he was nice enough to grab a picture of the crew (I still haven’t seem that pic by the way). From there a relationship was started and once finding out he could rap, we were all for it.
As always we wanted to the world to see what we saw and decided to give you a preview of Damingo Brown’s catalog below.
