Hol’ up, mane!

The H-town legend Pimp C lives on in his newest drop “Friends”, featuring the illmatic Nas and none other than the Three 6 Mafia member Juicy J. Earlier this morning at 11AM EST the world premiere dropped on Sways Universe and Pitch Fork

Such a times as this would three hip-hop icons from the dirty south to the Northeast drop some 90’s flavor back to the present state–a great collaboration. The voice of the lyrics plays along to TLC’s hit single, “What About Your Friends”, but with signature stylistic spin. “What about your friends, will let you down… what about your… friends!”

After 8 years to date of his passing, the forthcoming album Long Live The Pimp is set to be released on December 4, 2015 via Mass Appeal. There will be other fiya collabs hopping on the album, such as: A$AP Rocky, Bun B, Ty Dolla $ign, T.I., 8Ball & MJG, and many others.

Pimp C’s widow Chinara Butler gave the fans her insight on the project:

This album is the culmination of years of work from not just me, but also the amazing artists and producers who contributed to make it happen. It combines several of the ideas and projects my husband began before his untimely passing. We hope the Trill fans enjoy it.
