Yeah I know its been a minute since doing a Diggin’ In Da Den, but when I seen this, I knew it was time for a reprise. Brief history lesson, Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito Garcia curated one of the best hip-hop radio shows ever during the 90s. The two brought everyone who you can think of on the show during that time; Nas, Biggie, Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, Big Pun, Eminem, Cypress Hill, Fat Joe, and of course JAY Z.
Plenty of freestyle were recorded and to help with the funding for their Stretch & Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives documentary, the two release exclusives freestyles on cassette with Fat Beats. Today they uncover three rare JAY Z freestyle. One of them you should have heard or at least heard about (the infamous Big L freestyle). The other two find Hov using a flow a little more common to what we have grown to know him for.
Head down bottom and check out all three freestyles and bask in the glory of nostalgia.
